Who operates Second Move
Second Move is operated by Second Move, Inc., a Delaware corporation formed on July 23, 2026. Our contact address is 651 N Broad St, Suite 201, Middletown, DE 19709, United States.
Information we collect
- Website and campaign data: page views, referral source, UTM parameters, approximate device information, consent choices, and advertising click identifiers when permitted.
- Public chess data: the Chess.com or Lichess username you submit and public profile or game-history information needed to evaluate the beta.
- Beta request data: email address, improvement intent, price acknowledgement, and qualification categories derived from public game history.
- Support data: information you choose to send when contacting us.
Do not submit another person’s account or private information.
How and why we use information
- Validate whether a public chess account has enough recent history.
- Prepare and provide requested diagnosis and training experiences.
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the beta.
- Measure campaign and funnel quality with your applicable consent.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
- Prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
Public chess-platform data
We retrieve public data only after a username is submitted. We do not ask for or need a Chess.com or Lichess password. Second Move is not affiliated with or endorsed by Chess.com or Lichess; their policies govern their services.
Analytics and advertising
Depending on your privacy choices, we use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Business Tools, including Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We do not send raw chess usernames, PGNs, game URLs, exact ratings, email addresses, or support messages to these analytics tools.
Service providers and sharing
We use providers for hosting, database operations, domain email, analytics, and advertising measurement. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or when required by law. We do not sell personal information for money.
Certain advertising disclosures may be considered “sharing” or targeted advertising under some US state laws. Advertising storage remains optional through our cookie controls.
Retention
Our proposed pre-launch retention schedule is:
- Unconverted validation attempts: up to 30 days.
- Beta leads and consent records: up to 24 months after last interaction.
- Public game snapshots and derived diagnoses: up to 12 months.
- Security and operational logs: ordinarily up to 90 days.
We may retain records longer when required by law and may retain de-identified aggregate statistics that no longer reasonably identify a person.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and you may withdraw consent. Email privacy@secondmovechess.com. We may need to verify your identity.
Use the “Cookie settings” control on the beta page to reject optional storage or withdraw a previous choice.
International processing and security
Our providers may process information in other countries. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no service is completely secure. Do not send passwords or sensitive information through support channels.
Adults only
The beta is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information.
